So i’m not entirely sure, and I recommend an opinion other then mine to verify this ( I might be able to get one myself in a day) but I believe that when using hiragana in Japanese, you dont use the – for the long sound. (the すごーい) being the word in question. I think that it would be either just すごい or すごおい or すごうい. Were you purposely trying to extend the お sound, or what? The word in its base is すごい. SO unless you are trying to modify it, I don’t think you need the -.
again, I may be wrong, but that is from what I know, and ill try to verify it.
That aside, I love this comic. If I ever meet a real alien, he better greet me like that, or I will be disappointed.

One more thing, this could be right, but still not common すごおい but this is totally wrong すごうい.
About すごーい, with hyphen is casual or informal. With hyphen is polite but still uncommon.

I sorta thought that might be the case. I know incredibly little Japanese, and even less (when that’s possible) of how it should be informally. just glad that a) you know someone who actually knows the language, and b) I wasn’t COMPLETELY wrong

By the way, about the French part (in case you’re not sure) : “Oui, et je parle aussi français” would be a better translation for “Yes, and I also speak French”.
“Surtout” means French is his main language.
Well maybe it’s his favorite cuz he loves to curse with “Nom de Dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d’enculé de ta mère” (you know it’s like whiping your ass with silk, even being a native Frenchman I love it).

About the French phrase, it was translated by a friend of mine that is French. So there is not mistake on it. However, I will check your suggestions and ask him to check them.
